Mega Man 2 Box Cover Front

He's Back! And this time the evil Dr. Wily (once the supreme power in the universe) has created even more sinister robots to mount his attack. But as MegaMan, you've also grown in power and ability. Can you save mankind from the evil desires of Dr. Wily?

Each of the eight empires is ruled by a different super-robot. You must defeat each enemy on his own turf, building up weapons as you go. Only after all are destroyed will you go head-on with the mastermind himself, the evil Dr. Wily. But be alert, MegaMan, Dr. Wily has powers his creations did not!

Civilization relies on your skill and courage - confident that you, MegaMan, will stand tall in the end!

  1. Turn Stars Into Birds: At the Stage Select Screen, hold down "A" + "B" and choose a stage. When the next screen comes up that shows the boss and his name, the stars in the background will be birds.

  2. Customized Passwords: The way that passwords are set up for this game, you can customize your gaming experience if you know which spots on the password grid to mark. You have nine spaces to fill for any standard password, but specific spots will determine which stage has been cleared or not. The final spot will determine how many E-Tanks you have. By filling in the correct spots (one for each stage and one E-Tank spot), you can customize your own password. The effects for filling in each spot are listed below:
